SEA 197-IRM Saints, Heretics, and Witches in Medieval Ireland (Maeve Callan & Daryl Sasser); No ECC designations This course explores changing perceptions of gender, power, and the sacred in medieval Ireland, with contemporary applications, particularly regarding issues of diversity and inclusion. Students will write one short (4-7 pages) and one longer (10-12 pages) paper, due at the end of term, and will give a brief (10-15 minutes) presentation on their longer paper topic during our last days in Ireland. Students will also be required to write short reflections to the required reading during the prep course, as well as journal reflections during our time in Ireland.
