SEA 197-ITS Italy & Spain through Photography (Luke Behaunek & Tracy Dinesen) ECC: The Arts Preliminary cost estimate: $3,700 plus $500 for camera equipment assuming new equipment is purchased, and $145 passport fee, if needed. Anticipated length of time abroad: 15 days Italy and Spain are two countries rich in historical significance, amazing architecture, and beautiful landscapes. This course will allow students to explore the countries through photography, capturing the environments through hands-on learning that will provide students with useful skills to take into their lives at or after Simpson. Through photo assignments and creation of images, students will learn new perspectives, artistic techniques, manual photography skills, and Adobe Photoshop strategies. Note: Students must provide their own photographic equipment. Priority application deadline for May Term 2020: Tuesday, October 1, 2019. Selection decisions announced via email from the OIE for applications received by the priority deadline: Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Applications received after October 1 will be processed on a rolling basis. Those selection decisions will be announced approximately two weeks after the application is submitted.
